No time for love- The movie about Johnny Bode
(
Vilda Bomben Film, 2017)

Johnny Bode had great success in both Sweden and Europe, but still today he is completely left out of the musical history books. His life was so eventful and so bizarre that it's almost hard to believe it's true. In the film "No time for love", Bo Sjökvist and Bengt Löfgren try to put Johnny Bode in a societal perspective and create a vivid picture of the odd person behind headlines such as "Johnny Bode draws full houses", "Record charmer stuck for check fraud", " Johnny "Bode declared incompetent", "Scam involving Christmas ham at Malmö hotel", "Bode does show for Quisling" and "Bode sent to mental hospital".

The film was nominated for the audience's Guldbagge 2017 and was shown in cinemas around the country. A shorter version was broadcast on SVT. Produced by Vilda Bomben Film AB and distributed by TriArt.

CLUB ZEBRA-The Movie
(Housebars Produktion, 2014)

Ramones had CBGB's and the Beatles chose the Cavern. In a Swedish small town called Kristinehamn there was a small legendary rock club called Club Zebra (1971-1980). It was run by two extremely music interested young men, Anders and Bassen. Together they succeeded with the feat of attracting the entire Swedish and sometimes even foreign music elite. The stage consisted of the living room floor, sometimes with a rope as the only barrier. Young Swedish newcomers such as Tomas Ledin, Ulf Lundell and Pugh Rogefeldt thrived there. The crowning achievement was when the Sex Pistols themselves made a legendary gig in the summer of 1977. A little over half an hour of music history. Also available on DVD with lots of extras.

Deep trouble in Lake Victoria
(Housebars Produktion, 2011 )

The film depicts in real time how a good intention can be transformed into a picture of what colonialism and Western know-how have caused over the years. How a common goal can be obscured by personal interests. The main character Ola, just wants to measure the lake and with a new nautical chart contribute to increased maritime safety and saved lives while a local representative sees the project as a political springboard. Ola himself said after seeing the film that it should; "Serve as an alarm clock for all the do-gooders around the world".

Icy Riders

Bengt accompanied the legendary rider and his companions on a arduous journey through Russia and Europe during what could be his last World Cup season. Shown on SVT, Gothenburg Film Festival. It also won an award at the FICTS film festival in Milan 2009. Available on DVD.

The Preacherman
(Housebars Produktion, 2007)

Målle Lindberg, a unique figure in the modern free church movement. Målle and his Maranata congregation created a wave of revival in Sweden during the 60's completely in class with the then prevailing Beatles hysteria.

Målle, who was born on a journey between two horse markets in Sävsjö and Nässjö, became a juvenile delinquent who, after a long prison stay, met God and became one of Sweden's most debated free church preachers and also a rock singer. He drew tens of thousands of people to his tent meetings, performed at Nalen and had Cliff Richard as lead singer in Johanneshov, Stockholm.

He was often designated as a scammer but later became an accepted preacher again and according to himself, a prophet in, among other places, the Pentecostal Church. Journalist Bo Sjökvist and filmmaker Bengt followed in his footsteps for almost six years. The recordings started in Örnsköldsvik in 2000 and ended in the winter of 2006. Shown on SVT and Göteborg Filmfestival.
