Bengt Löfgren, born June 3, 1965. Swedish documentary filmmaker and D.O.P.

Film & TV

Author of award-winning documentaries CCCP-Hockey, Icy Riders, Deep Trouble and others. In 2017, I received both Kristallen and Prix Europa for my participation in the acclaimed documentary series "Alone against ISIS". With a background as a trained visual artist, I trained in the mid-90s to become a filmmaker. In 1997, together with a colleague, I founded the Housebars Produktion. Initially, the company produced artist portraits for SVT with, among others, Magnus Uggla, Georg Riedel, Stefan Sundström and Carl-Einar Häckner. From the early 2000s, the investment in own documentaries began. A long-term collaboration with journalist Bo Sjökvist has so far resulted in several documentaries, two of which are feature films. "No time for Love-about Johnny Bode, 2018 and" The anticipation of Jan Myrdal's death", 2021. I work on a freelance basis and am often hired as a photographer in SVT's community-oriented productions. "Kraschen", "Barn till varje pris", "Nordstan-en julsaga" and "Sjukt Stressad" are some productions I have participated in. Commissioned assignments for Rädda Barnen, Boplats GBG, UNICEF, the University of Gothenburg and a number of different cultural institutions in Gothenburg are also included in the activities.

Photography

I have produced several separate exhibitions all over the country and also in my hometown, Kristinehamn. I am represented at Galleri Fågel located in Beddingestrand and I am a member of SFF (Swedish Photographers' Association). My motifs alternate between music, street photography, portraits and nature.
